Tel Aviv municipality's plan to build on a narrow street near Kikar HaMedina in Tel Aviv, in a 7-story building, seating for 250 rabbis, all this far from the public eye. Hundreds of Tel Aviv residents joined the public struggle against the establishment of the yeshiva and even held a large demonstration.

Tel Aviv-Yafo Mayor Ron Huldai instructed the local planning committee on Sunday morning to reexamine the plan to move the Ma'ale EliyahuYeshiva to a building on Clay Street.
