Smart fabrics integrate the human body into circuits - Frontiers. G The study, published in the journal Science, opens up many potential applications: from wearable computers to sensors to monitor physiological parameters, up to intelligent home devices.

Researchers led by Weifeng Yang have developed a soft and thin fiber that integrates electronic circuits and exploits the electromagnetic energy produced by the body. This interactive fiber is made up of three layers: a central one that activates an electromagnetic field, a layer that stores the energy and one that allows the visualization of the electric field.
