Hoeing is a technique, used in the garden or vegetable patch, to prepare the soil before planting seedlings or plantations. Hoeing also aerates the soil, releasing fertilizing elements (such as nitrogen), and contributes to plant growth.

It is advisable to hoe in the morning when the soil is fresher, softer, and therefore easier to work. Weeding, often confused with hoeing, aims to remove weeds. You can hoe first and then mulch your soil. This will save you from having to regularly hoe and weed. If you have a large piece of land, the tiller allows you to carry out hoeed in a technical way. You must use a hoe, for example, with a sharp blade, to break the crust of the soil but without pushing the hoe deep into the earth. To avoid walking on the part being worked, walk on a board positioned along the rows. Make sure you have rows adapted to the width of your hoe to be able to hoes the soil without damaging the plants.
