Spain suffers an “exceptional” episode of Saharan dust intrusion. The maximum peak of the haze in the country, which affects air quality, occurred on Saturday afternoon in Benahadux (Almería) The latest episode has been leading to high PM10 concentrations at ground level for the Iberian Peninsula, and some parts of France & Germany.

The mass of dust is moving towards the east of the Mediterranean and is expected to end on Tuesday in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
