IDF destroyed 3 attack tunnels in Khan Yunis, some of which crossed into Israeli territory. Some of the tunnels have already been exposed by the security establishment in recent years.
The first tunnel that was destroyed was searched for about a decade ago, and in 2021, during Operation Wall Guard, it was attacked from the air - and a number of Hamas terrorists were killed in it. The second tunnel was revealed in 2014 as a terrorist tunnel that crossed into the territory of the State of Israel and was already destroyed then. The third tunnel was exposed already in 2019, before the construction of the underground barrier.
