St. Lantpert, the village church in Riedenzhofen, is undergoing extensive renovation of the roof structure and choir ceiling.
A storm on January 3, 2018 caused a large part of the ceiling plaster in the altar area to come off. Church caretaker Florian Hillenbrand expects the total cost of the renovation to be around 130,000 euros. So far, 30,000 euro in donations have already been received. The parish still needs donations for the renovation. The church is dedicated to St. Lantspert, who was the 13th bishop in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
