The long-awaited agricultural orientation and future bill (PLOAA) will be presented this Wednesday to the Council of Ministers. It must respond to the major challenges of food sovereignty and climate and agroecological transitions by 2040.

Within ten years, almost half of farmers will be of retirement age. Currently, there are 20,000 departures per year and only 14,000 are replaced. These regulations can dissuade people interested in the profession of farming and explain, in part, the shortage of vocations.
