Storm rages in Italy – two kilometers of beach on the Adriatic coast disappeared. In Jesolo Pineta, thousands of cubic meters of sand were washed into the sea over a two-kilometer stretch.
New sand is to be brought into the area to restore the coast. According to meteorologists' forecasts, the bad weather phase in Italy will last until the beginning of March. In the Alps, weather experts are again expecting heavy snowfall. Rainfall with hail, thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind are also expected again in Veneto.
