Strasbourg Cathedral briefly evacuated after false bomb threat. Security visit carried out in cathedral and surroundings did not detect anything suspicious.

Evacuation took place while several high schools and colleges were also recently the subject of false bomb threats, in Alsace and the rest of France. The evacuation measure was taken after an unidentifiable telephone call received around 3:45 p.m., which claimed that a bomb had been planted in the cathedral and that it would explode in the afternoon, police said.
