A 56-year-old man died Wednesday in Strasbourg in the fire of an apartment that also caused five light injuries. The fire broke out in the late afternoon on the second floor of the building.
It was extinguished with a water hose, the Bas-Rhin departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) did not specify the causes of the disaster. The man was discovered in cardio-ventilatory arrest, declared dead and five injured people taken care of by the firefighters and the SAMU.
