[HIGHLIGHTS] Strong rejection from a judicial forum to Ariel Lijo's nomination for the Supreme Court: "There are too many controversies that the candidate arouses"

The Forum for Administration of Justice (FORES) has rejected the nomination of Judge Ariel Lijo to the Supreme Court. FORES said the nomination raises questions about the role of his brother, Judge Alfredo "Freddy" Lije.

The Forum suggested that the Government tries to "use the judiciary for political purposes" The Forum also said that 88% of the population believes that justice is not at all reliable in terms of treating everyone equally, regardless of their political views or party affiliation.
