Study shows “far-reaching effects” of breakfast on attractiveness. Study published in PLOS ONE, an online journal of the Public Library of Science, in March 2024.

Women and men who ate a high-glycemic breakfast were rated as less attractive. “Far-reaching effect of dietary choices not only on health, but also on facial traits with social significance,” scientists wrote in their study. The study authors said that hypoglycemia caused by refined carbohydrates causes low blood sugar levels in test subjects.
