German mountaineer Luis Stitzinger is missing in the Himalayas. He is alone on the third highest mountain in the world, the eight-thousander Kanchenjunga.
His GPS device stopped sending signals during his ascent. The expedition company is sending a rescue team with four Sherpas to the scene. It is said that he was unable to climb up in the face of bad weather, as his exact location is not known. He was last seen on the descent to around 8,500 metres on Thursday.
