The Sudanese army and the RSF militia signed another lull agreement on Saturday in the conflict that has been raging since April. The lull will last seven days and will be open for extension.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke by phone on Saturday with Sudanese military chief and de facto ruler Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. Earlier this month, the World Health Organization said more than 600 people had already been killed in fighting in Sudan. Tens of thousands of other people fled their homes and fled to neighboring countries.
