Suicide risk among the migrant population: do we look the other way?. Loneliness, isolation, economic circumstances and the feeling of lack of future destabilize mental health.

It is necessary to take it into account in prevention programs for suicide. The conditions of irregular migration pose a challenge to death and, in some way, imply coexistence with it. There is a higher rate of suicidal ideation among asylum seekers or in refugee camps or in migration control centers than in the population of the host country.
