Supermarket attacker unrelated to four-year-old victim. Victim was seriously injured in the knife attack in the discount store in Wangen im Allgäu.
After an operation, the child is now in a stable condition, the police said. The suspect was arrested without resistance and is due to appear before the judge on Thursday afternoon. The supermarket was open to customers again as usual on Thursday morning, as a dpa photographer said. There were no traces left in the supermarket that were reminiscent of the crime on Wednesday afternoon.
