Philippe Rogge, head of Vodafone Germany, is surprisingly leaving the company. His successor will be the previous private customer board member Marcel de Groot.

Rogge is the son of former Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge. In Germany's mobile communications market, the top dogs Telekom, O2 and Vodaphone are fighting for market share. Vodahone has around 15,000 employees in Germany, around a third of them in Düsseldorf.
