Zein Oroq was buried under rubble after last year's raid in which 17 members of his extended family died. Despite his injuries, he managed to survive the raid.
Last week, during an aid drop, Zein was hit on the head by one of the packages as he ran in a desperate attempt to grab a can of beans, rice, or flour. He died during a food aid drop in Gaza last week. The Guardian reports it was the first time the boy had been hit by an aid package. The boy's family say he was hit by a package while trying to grab beans, flour, or rice. The Israeli military has not commented on the boy's death.
