A Belgian national on vacation in Fréjus, in the Var, was arrested and taken into police custody after his wife was found dead. “Suspicious traces” were discovered on the victim’s body by the emergency services.
The emergency services alerted the police on Tuesday around 5:30 a.m., due to marks on the wrists and neck of the deceased as well as traces of blood on a duvet and sheets. The victim's husband was placed in police custody.
