Sweden: a meteorite falls on private land, justice dismisses geologists and gives it to the owner. The owner of the land, Johan Benzelstierna von Engeström, decided to take the matter to court to recover the extraterrestrial object.
His appeal was examined this Thursday, March 22, 2024. The court of appeal decided to agree with him, based on the composition of the terrain and the meteorite. The object, made of iron, “is composed of substances already present on the surface of the Earth”
