Andrea Tandler is accused of tax evasion in three cases amounting to 23.5 million euros. She had asked the canton of Zurich for legal assistance.
The entrepreneur had brokered contracts for personal protective equipment, in particular masks, between the Swiss company EMIX and various federal and state authorities. She and her co-partner "rejected all allegations made in public", according to her lawyer. If convicted, she and two other defendants face a long prison sentence.
