Iranian airports reopen almost two days after Tehran's attack on Israel. Flights at Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran have been restored to normal.

The situation has also normalized in the airports of Mehrabad in Tehran, and the cities of Tabriz (northwest), Mashhad (northeast) and Shiraz (south) Before Saturday evening, some airlines, such as Germany's Lufthansa, had already suspended their flights to Iran, while others decided to no longer fly over the country's territory. Several countries in the Middle East, including Israel, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan, had also closed their airspace overnight from Saturday to Sunday, which they reopened on Sunday. The Israeli authorities had not ruled out, before the attack, striking Iranian territory, probably targeting military or nuclear sites according to experts. The attack was in response to a strike blamed on Israel against the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1, which Israel blamed on Iran. The Iranian government has denied any involvement in the attack.
