Terence McKenna (1946-2000) was an ethnobotanist and psychonaut. Interested in shamanic storytelling and the invisible landscapes of the mind.

In times of prohibition he defended the responsible use of psychoactive substances such as Indian hemp, LSD or peyote. McKenna also believed that the encounter with hallucinogenic plants challenged the vision of Western culture, an individualistic and self-centered culture. Our ego experiences terror as the boundaries between self and world dissolve, which is precisely what facilitates the psychedelic trip.
