Texas will build a military camp on the border with Mexico to stop the crossing of migrants. Gov.
Greg Abbott said the complex will house up to 1,800 Texas National Guard troops deployed to help with border security. The new project is part of the tough immigration plan, called Operation Lone Star. In January the numbers of border crossings on the southern border fell by 50% after the peaks reported in December where there were 249,735, according to official data. The crossings are one of the focuses of the presidential campaign for the November elections.
