Argentine businessman Diego Hernán Dirisio was the largest arms smuggler in Latin America. He was caught in Córdoba, along with his wife, a former model who was also wanted.

From his company in Paraguay, he imported pistols, rifles and machine guns from Europe. He is charged with operations worth 250 million dollars and supplied the Brazilian Comando Vermelho criminal group. The arrests occurred days ago following an anonymous complaint filed with the Federal Crime Reporting Division.
