Beach clubs in Canet-en-Roussillon must not represent more than 20% of the space. The municipality has just renewed its temporary occupation concessions, from April 8 to October 8.
A somewhat surreal vision called for the clubs themselves to pivot 90°, but ultimately a less radical solution was deployed to save the number of concessions, 18 as in 2023. “Reduce the impact on the maritime route of each of the concessions, it was the only solution to preserve the eighteen settlements,” says Fatima Bensaidane.
