The “last carnival in the world” is traditionally celebrated near Baden-Württemberg. The classic carnival actually ends after Ash Wednesday in mid-February.
However, a well-known move is yet to take place on the border with Baden/Wurttenburg. A large traditional parade takes place there every three years, including in 2024. The Swabian-Alemannic Fasnet is a tradition that is known far beyond the borders of Baden.
