The 'Gamboa case', a triple murder that questions the typical official version of police violence in Brazil. Three military police officers from Salvador de Bahía are on trial for allegedly killing three young people in cold blood, 'planting' weapons and altering the crime scene.

The radical turn of the case, known as the Gamboa massacre, is very unusual in Brazil, where in 2022 more than 6,400 people - suspects or bystanders - died in police operations. Across Brazil, the victims are almost always young black men.
