The 'love rooms' are being experimented in the Padua prison. In Padua, the first in Italy, special 'rooms' will be created in the Due Palazzi prison.
Prisoners will be able to strengthen their emotional and sexual bonds with their partners. The turning point was marked by sentence number 10 of 2024 of the Constitutional Court which established the illegitimacy of the ban on intimate conversations between prisoners and family members. The possibility of expanding the telephone calls available to prisoners is also being taken into consideration.
