The commander of the Air Force will soon conclude the investigation of the Owl helicopter accident that occurred at the Nabatim base. A young pilot and his flight instructor did not correctly estimate the distance from a pole and caused heavy damage to the helicopter.

A series of comprehensive engineering tests will soon be carried out for the helicopter, and at the end, equipment engineers will decide in consultation with the American helicopter manufacturer whether the helicopter can be returned to flight. Even if it is decided to keep the helicopter for operational activity, a lot of work will be required to restore it to serviceability.
