The air bridge between Haiti and the Dominican Republic is soon operational, according to the ONIU. In particular, it will make it possible to deliver humanitarian aid to the Haitian population suffering from a multidimensional crisis.
"It's an air connection, from what I understand by helicopter, between Haitians and Dominican Republic, bringing supplies taking UN personnel outside and bringing" others into Haiti, said the UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. The airlift should be “operational as quickly as possible,” the UN said Thursday.
