The Argentine Justice ordered the reopening of the investigation into crimes against humanity by the Nicolás Maduro regime in Venezuela. Maduro and Diosdado Cabello, 2 of Chavismo, are accused of human rights violations.

The case began in July 2023, when a foundation filed a complaint in the Argentine Federal Justice. The decision of Chamber I of the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires also comes at a time of tension between the government of Javier Milei and the Maduro regime. The main opposition leader, María Corina Machado, is disqualified.
