The City government will provide Buenos Aires families with monetary aid to compensate for increases in school fees. The plan provides for a benefit of 30 thousand pesos per student, for three months, and cannot be more than 50% of the fee.

The main difference between this benefit and the subsidy that the national government is already providing is that the City sends the money to schools, not to families. The head of Government will announce the measure this Tuesday and an official website will be enabled to carry out the procedure. The benefit could reach 212 thousand students at all levels: 36,000 at the initial level, 99 thousand at the primary level and 77,000 in the secondary level. It is about a total of 364,416 students who go to private schools in Buenos Aires. This relief measure for families will have an estimated cost of 11,000 million pesos for the City. The Chief of the Cabinet of the Néstor Grindetti was also present at the meeting, who explained how this will be financed by cutting expenses.
