This winter is one of the three warmest in over 140 years, and February 2024 is expected to be the warmest on record. The winter months of 2023/24 have proven to be unusually mild, with little snowfall and only sporadic cold periods. Despite these mild temperatures, the onset of late winter in March cannot be completely ruled out.
