The government is preparing to extend the exemption of the ultra-Orthodox by three months. The proposal is expected to obtain a majority - despite the opposition of ministers Galant and Gantz.

This is a temporary solution, intended to pressure the High Court to avoid the decision to stop the government budget for ultra- orthodox institutions. The government will thus provide itself with stability for another three months in its attempts to reach an agreement on the law itself, writes Elad Malka, the author of a book on the issue.
