10 days have passed since the first complaints of water contamination in the Benito Juárez mayor's office. More than 400 people have reported that the water in their homes has a strong odor and a strange taste.

Authorities have not yet identified the causes of the contamination and have not commented on whether there is a real risk to health. Neighbors' indignation has been increasing due to the lack of transparency with which the authorities are dealing with the issue. They have once again blocked Avenida Insurgentes, one of the most important arteries of the city, for the second consecutive day. Those affected demand solutions and threaten to take legal action if the authorities do not give them answers soon. The authorities recommend not consuming tap water and estimate that the contaminants will disappear from the hydraulic network in two weeks. The location of the well coincides with the first information that Mexico City offered about the contamination. It's been 10 days and people still don't know what chemical is in the water they bathe, cook with or drink their pets with.
