[HIGHLIGHTS] The Council of State is considering the ban on plant-based “steaks” or “hams”

Manufacturers of plant-based steaks or bacon have filed a motion for interim relief against the decree prohibiting them from these names as of May 1. The companies 77 Foods (La Vie), Nutrition & santé (Céréal Bio), Les Nouveaux Fermiers (HappyVore), NxtFood (Accro), Olga (Sojasun) and Umiami (for professionals) requested, via this emergency procedure, the suspension of the decree of February 26.

The judge for summary proceedings will issue his order "in the first days of next week"
