Instrumentalists have been making wind instruments since the 17th century. They have moved their work to the south of the country.

The work is now being done in the town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, near Paris. It is the only place in the world where wind instruments can be made in such a way that they can be easily transported to other parts of the world. The process of making a wind instrument can take up to two years, but it is possible to do it in one day.
