The dematerialized driving license will be rolled out everywhere in France from Wednesday. The permit will be downloaded and available offline for white zone checks.
Law enforcement will be able to check its validity directly from the new NEO smartphones equipped with an NFC chip reader. The France Identity application also provides for the dematerialization of the green car insurance card, as well as the future inclusion of the registration document and the insurance certificate. The first tests will begin at the end of this year, with the digital version of the driving license even with an old pink paper license.
