Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli died in Florence, he was 83 years old. Among the protagonists of fashion of the last 50 years, Cavalli has contributed to carrying the flag of Made in Italy around the world.

His ready-to-wear, recognizable thanks to iconic motifs such as animalier, has been worn (and loved) by celebrities all over the world, from Jennifer Lopez to Naomi Campbell, from Katy Perry to Lady Gaga, just to name a few. Born on 15 November 1940, he has always remained very close to Florence, the city where he moved from the province with his mother, still small and shocked by the loss of his father, who was kidnapped and shot on 4 July 1944 by the retreating Germans. He leaves behind six children, from his first wife, Silvanella Giannoni, he had Cristina and Tommaso, then he married Eva Duringer in 1980, with whom he had Rachele, Daniele and Robert.
