The Ellis Island Museum is renewed, a 100 million restyling - World. New exhibition spaces and database with 154 million names.

The project was funded by the National Park Service. The port of Ellis Island welcomed over 12 million migrants from all over the world from 1892 to 1954. The current museum stands in the space that became a detention center for forced repatriations in the 1920s.  Reproduction reserved © Copyright ANSA, 2014.
