The European Union gives in to pressure and protests from the countryside and relaxes environmental restrictions. The mobilizations focused on farmers' low income while large food companies raised prices beyond inflation in the bloc and increased their profits.

The images of tractors blocking accesses and central areas of large European cities were not to the taste of leaders who do not want to give their electorate the image of living in a continuous crisis. The measures must be in force before the end of April, a month and a half before the European polls.
