Some 50,000 people enjoyed the astronomical phenomenon at the Torreón planetarium, the place from which NASA broadcast the event to the world. “Experiencing an eclipse is a unique experience,” says one of the visitors.

The last total eclipse seen in Mexico before this, in 1991, was in Guadalajara. The next total eclipse in Mexico will be on April 8, 2024, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Coahuila.
