Former vice president Jorge Glas was prosecuted in corruption cases and now imprisoned in a maximum security prison. Glas was taking refuge in the Mexican diplomatic headquarters, which was violently raided days ago to arrest the former vice president, violating the principles of sovereignty that prevail over the Mexican embassy.
