Group of 18 Mexicans, including diplomatic personnel and their families, are flying back to Mexico. The return trip takes place after the assault on the Mexican Embassy in Quito by the Ecuadorian Police on Friday to arrest the former vice president of that country Jorge Glas.
Mexicans who return from Ecuador do so on a commercial flight supported by friendly embassies, which also accompanied them on their journey to the Quito airport. The Mexicans are expected to arrive at Terminal 2 of the Mexico City International Airport around 11:00 local time (17:00 GMT)
