Former first deputy mayor of Lorient will be tried for rape and sexual assault on minors. The 38-year-old former elected official faces a sentence of 20 years in prison.

Part of the incriminated events took place when Gaël Le Fur was a history and history professor at the Faouët college in Lorient. He was released under house arrest under electronic monitoring in June 2021. According to Ouest-France, he should appear before the criminal court in 2025 or even 2026.
