The Genesis Prize will be awarded to organizations working to free abductees and support their families. The funds amounting to one million dollars will be used to finance assistance to the hostages and their families, and the funded activities will include therapy, trauma counseling and social rehabilitation for hostages who have been released or rescued.
The five organizations chosen by the fund are: The Family Headquarters for the Return of Abducted and Missing People, the Fund for Victims of Terrorism of the Jewish Agency for Land Israel, Lev Ehad - Emergency Civilian Aid and One Family - Overcoming Terrorism Together.
