Lunar New Year kicked off the Year of the Dragon with frenetic festivities. The date changes every year but occurs each year between January 21 and February 20.

For the Chinese, the dragon signifies dignity, prestige and good omen. The United Nations has included the Lunar New Year as a floating UN holiday in its calendar of conferences and meetings for 2024. The London Eye Ferris wheel shimmered in red and gold, two colors that symbolize joy and prosperity in Chinese culture.
