The Government defended the removal of subsidies and stressed that "municipal and provincial transportation is a responsibility not delegated to the Nation" Manuel Adorni ratified the decision to eliminate the Interior Compensation Fund. The subsidy cuts affected the interior and not the AMBA, he said.

"The Nation will continue to assist transportation that is under national jurisdiction and in which it is the enforcement authority," he said in a press conference at the Casa Rosada.
