The Government responded to Pope Francis' phrase about the role of the State in Argentina: "We do not agree". The presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, said this at a press conference.
He stated that the social justice policy applied in recent decades led Argentina to have 50% poor people. "Of course we respect the Pope's words. But the State has to guarantee access to Justice, that the law is the same for everyone, it has to guarantees legal security. The State, at least the one we know in the Argentina, has not done so."
